( adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle According to the City, a red light cam (RLC) is a cam that catches a picture of a vehicle that has gone into a crossway in spite of the traffic signal showing red (during the red phase).
Generally, the electronic camera is set off when a vehicle gets in the intersection (passes the stop-bar) after the traffic signal has reddened.

To make sure that motorists know precisely where each red light electronic camera lies, weve created an interactive map that pins where all 145 video cameras remain in the city.

Previously this year, the City installed 50 new automated speed enforcement (ASE) electronic cameras throughout Toronto. It turns out the city is likewise house to 145 extra red light cams to help catch lead-footed drivers.
